A Healthy and Happy Home Environment for a Well-Rounded Child
A healthy and happy home is a child's birthright. Tiny homes builder is tantamount to cruelty. No innocent human being should be brought into this world without the stability of a good home, loving and caring parents or guardians and the support of the nearby community. If you wish to raise a well-rounded and upstanding citizen, your efforts start at home. Here are ways you can establish the ideal home environment for your children.
1. Keep your home clean. Your home may be the most modest abode in the world, but it becomes a haven for a growing child if it is always neat and clean. Even siblings who have to share a room will still enjoy the experience if their personal space is tidy and allows them to be creative and studious. Of course, you have to teach them to pick up after themselves. They need to collect their own candy wrappers and sundry trash and learn to dispose them properly.
2. Keep a pantry of healthy foods. Good nutrition is part and parcel of a healthy and happy home environment. Get your children started on learning about the food groups that are good for their body by supplying them only with wholesome meals. If your family loves to snack, don't give them processed "junk foods" and fizzy drinks but instead opt for natural juices, water, milk and healthy snacks like raisins, crackers, muffins, oatmeal cookies and light sandwiches. Keep track of their intake in between meals. If they eat too much in the late afternoon, they will be too full to eat a proper dinner. So teach them portion control as well.
3. Allot space for their leisure activities. Kids can get bored playing in their own bedrooms so they will look elsewhere for variety. Find space in your house where they can play and do their hobbies undisturbed. But in the same vein, it should be a spot where they will not be a bother to dozing or working adults. Finding this balance can be somewhat tricky if you live in a tiny home, but it's essential in order to keep your abode a healthy and happy haven for all.
4. Give them space and freedom to bring their friends over. A proper home environment should allow a child to bring his friends over to introduce to Mom and Dad. Don't be worried about the kids making a mess of your furniture. Give them an area for group where they can snack, play and relax. It's important for a child to develop his social skills, so don't deny him when he wants to bring his little buddies over.
5. Give your children a part in creating a home. Encourage them to do chores appropriate to their age. Even if it merely making their beds, sweeping the floor or dusting small pieces of furniture, they will feel like they are really contributing to creating a healthy and happy home environment. They will develop a sense of responsibility and pride in their own abode. This attitude will be very useful when they become adults and start maintaining their own homes. Sadly, some adults were never taught this practice when they were young so their own homes end up sloppy and chaotic. Don't let your child turn out this way!
A healthy and happy home is every family's right. Don't let finances, circumstances or other factors hinder you from building one. Don't follow the standards set by other people; do what works for your family, no matter how simple your methods are. All that matters is that your children are raised in an environment filled with love and understanding.
